Mini-Misión

Hola Todos!

This week we just finished it off with a baptism! Jorge Sifuentes! He is super awesome! He is willing to help out everyone! I’ts the cousin of Lesly, who was baptized over a month ago! We didn't have water in our ward, so we went to the other ward! It was all smooth, and as usual, we were an hour late! Peruvian time!

It was great even though our ward mission leader is new, and starts to organize a million things at the same time - it all went pretty smoothly! We have a new leader, bishop, and elders quorum president! So we are going to try and use that more in our area!

This week we also did an awesome activity with the ward San Felipe! All of the youth got together Friday night and did a mini CCM and Saturday they left with us 2 by 2. We went and visited as normal, and the two kids we were with were super cool! We went with Miguel and Joseph! We contacted, asked for references, and it was super fun! They are only 14 and 12, but super excited to help us out!

We are looking for a lot of new people because we basically have to restart the area. But this week we were in work visits, and so I wasn't even in my area! So we suffer a little bit when there are work visits, but sometimes they help find problems! We are going to lead more by example to help the other areas, rather than just doing a work visit! So I hope my district can do a little better!

Our area is still fantastic, and we are going to work HARD with the members! That is the key to success on the mission. When the members leave with you, give references, when we do activities, and when we visit, that’s where we find people! The problem is finding new ways to find new people even if the members have given a ton of references!

I have learned a lot more in the mission of how to deal with a lot of things at once, and how to be a good people person! Its a great leadership opportunity for me right now, and I am glad for every moment I have here in the mission!

Have a fantastic week!

My First Llama!!!

Wow! This week was definitely Peruvian! I saw my first llama! It was a stylish llama might I add! It was fun! We saw him during our Zone P day, which was a blast! We went to the stake center and played some Fútbol! Yea... I can´t play soccer... Haha! But I´m going to learn. I have to, since even the kids here are crazy good! After playing soccer, we played some Werewolf, which is Mafia, but of course in Spanish. During games, Latinos tend to be really really energetic! I am having a great time! I am totally adjusted! Just, not the language... But you know, little details! It´s amazing to be able to help teach in the lessons, now that I know how to do more than say just my testimony! I do really well at understanding what people are saying...The only problem is when people talk to me! Then I understand nothing! And even less when people ask me how my Spanish is, because I never know if they are saying:    Do you know Spanish good? Your Spanish is really good...

No Se

Hola todos! So, the first thing I have to say today is that Internet in Peru is not the quickest, or the most reliable! And even worse when the church program doesn't work!  Anyway! We are doing just dandy here in Montenegro 4! We are so high up that the climate literally has changed! We get rain every once in a while, not too much, but enough! It is not too hot, but everyone gets a little sweaty here! It really changes with a gate that leads into this other province!  I forgot everything I have said, so If I repeat I am sorry... We have a member who cooks for us! Almost whatever we want, we end up getting! She loves to bake, try new things, and is such a sweet, amazing lady! She is also mega strict, and has a heart attack every time we do something! She is always stressed out! When we wash the dishes after lunch, she watches us, and if we turn the water on too much she shouts, if we don't turn it off while we are scrubbing, she shouts! If we throw away any sc...

Lima Peru, Here I Come!!!

Sorry for the cheesy title, but I can't wait! I leave this next Monday to head on out to Peru! I leave this Monday at 12:30 AM, so technically Tuesday, but we leave the MTC at 8:00 Monday! I already have my filter water bottle!  This last week has been interesting! It really has all of the sudden turned into week one again! We are going over every part of Preach my Gospel, like we did on week one, and we are learning how to start our first lessons... Like we did on week one! We are learning how to make a plan for a lesson... Like week one... But it's all good stuff! And much more fun now that I can talk in much better Spanish than in week one! That’s probably why we are doing it all over! Haha! We really lucked out on with all of our teachers and leaders at the CCM! Presidente Lyons again has been such an amazing example! His wife has been super sick, and is going into surgery this week. He really appreciates all of the support he gets! He is so busy… he has to help hi...
