Buenos Días Todos!

So there was a drastic change this week from companion to companion! Obviously, because one is from Ecuador, and the other Columbia! Haha! Elder Caicedo!

But he is fantastic! He has been 18 months in the mission, and he knows everyone! When we are talking with members, they can name a missionary and he knows them and where they are from! He has a lot of experience, and is very serious when he needs to be. But when he doesn't, he is very Columbian! He talks a ton, jokes, laughs! It’s pretty fun! He is a little lazy at times, but nothing I can't fix!

But this week went by great! Elder Mendez is missed, but all is well! All is well! We have been working hard, and found new people, taught a lot, and we are focusing on helping out this area! Our ward has a unity problem, and it might turn into a Branch, because it is mega small! This doesn't help with our investigators as well, because we don't have people to help, greet in the church, or be their friend!

We haven't had a good conversation with Shande or Shandu, but with their mom yes! We are working, but I don't know if it is going to work out for this month! Rosa still wants to be baptized, but is working on finding a new job! But it is a little different the week of changes, and we will be more on top of it next week!

I got some questions I thought I would answer! Here you go!

What do you use for transportation?

So for Transportation, we either have to use taxies, if we want to go to the offices, or really far. Or Buses, if we need to go medium distance! It only costs 1 sol! But the best way to travel is by Mototaxi! They are loud, crazy, and silly!

What do you like best about being a missionary?

I love helping other people as a missionary! We do a lot of service, and also teach a lot of lessons! We get to help families, teens, kids, adults, everyone!

How have you used the Priesthood and how has it affected you spiritually?

We get to use the Priesthood every day! We give a ton of blessings for the sick, and blessings of comfort. It helps me personally gain a better testimony of the Priesthood, and understand the importance of helping other people. But another interesting thing we use every single day is the ministering of angels. As a Priesthood holder, I have the keys to unlock angels! It sounds like a Superhero Power! Which leads right into the next question!

Do Peruvians have their own super heroes?

They have the same ones we do... They really like Spiderman and Captain America! I was hoping for the amazing llama boy or El Poderoso Papa!

Do you like the bread there?

The bread here is either really really yummy and sweet, or really really dry and crunchy! It just depends on where you get it! But they have people with weird motorbike, breadbox weirdo cars that drive around honking a clown horn or tooting a party horn! You have to run outside when you hear it before it passes by! And you buy your bread in the morning, and if you miss it, you can buy it in the afternoon when it comes around again!

But the mission is the best!

Thanks for reading!

No Time

Elder Ball didn't have very much time to email today.  They changed a form that they need to do their reports on, and it took him a lot longer than expected to get through it. But! I have pictures! He is doing great! He loves his companion, they are working hard, and he is very excited that it is December!  Lot's of service projects this month and he is looking forward to that! He is headed to the hospital today so they can (hopefully) remove some warts that have grown on his hands while there.  He has tried about everything to get them gone... He first showed them to me on MOTHERS DAY so, I think it's time they get taken care of! He is happy!  And that makes ME happy.

Hello!

This week was just dandy!! We found a lot more investigators this week! Especially since we only had 2 last week... but 11 is a much better number. We have a lot of new people, but not a lot that want to progress. One of our investigators is Ana, whose real name is Gabriella. (I only sing high school musical sometimes in her house under my breath!) But she is fantastic! She is a reference from Mama Luz, who owns our house we live in. Mama Luz is not a member, but helps teach our lessons! Ana is very interested in all of what we have to say, and really wants to be baptized!  We have 3 Teenagers who I feel are going to be baptized! One is a brother of an Inactive member, and he loves church on Sunday! Edu! Funny little 11 year old kid! The other two are brothers, Marcos and Shandu! Shandu really wants to be baptized, and Marcos only half listens, but with time, he will be great!  We may find 11 people in a week, but a lot of them don't stick with us. They h...

Que Pasa?

Hola Amigos! Como van todo? So this week was just dandy! I have been working hard, and learning a lot! For P-Day last week, we went to a park down in Metro! It was fun, we cooked hamburgers, played some Futbol, some frisbee, talked, and just had a good time! We have new people from this last transfer, and the new gringos! Its funny how Amazing they think I am, and then they realize I only have 6 weeks on them! haha! They are also from the Mexico MTC! They are fun, but I still like my group! Anyway! We had a baptism this week! Gabriela Diego! She is so wonderful, and it was a special day! Then yesterday, she was only 20 min. late to go to her confirmation! haha! That was kind of funny! But it all worked out! We were able to see her transformation, and her desire to rely on Christ. I went on a Work Transfer, or exchanges with Elder Seymour. He is one of the new Americans from Indiana! This meant we had to teach with my little experience, and his less experience! It was p...
