I Moved!

Elder Ball hasn't been very good at writing a group email, but he DID send a bunch of photos this week.  Here are a few things he told me when I asked him about some of the photos during our (brief) email conversation today.  :)

I got transferred back in my old zone, Wiesse.  The Same zone as Montenegro where Mama Tuyume is! (In her same Stake.)  I am in CasaBlanca! White House! HA!  CasaBlanca is freaking more hills than anything else.  Like, my area is literally 4 hills, up and down, up and down.  And it all moves UP.  I love the hills! They are the best! But, the flat area was kind of heaven while I was there.

My companion is Elder Delgado from Ecuador. I knew him in my second change and third! We share a ward with Elder Jardine, who took my place with Elder Caicedo, and Elder Cruz from Honduras, who only has 12 weeks left.

The little girl in the photos is Julieta, the daughter of my convert, Norma.

The story about the boxes that say Habla Causa:  It’s a slang here in Peru and it means “Talk Dude!”  (Hablar: to talk, Causa is slang for dude, bro, amigo).  It’s an Inca Cola thing… all of the inca colas had a campaign that said that.

No Time

Elder Ball didn't have very much time to email today.  They changed a form that they need to do their reports on, and it took him a lot longer than expected to get through it. But! I have pictures! He is doing great! He loves his companion, they are working hard, and he is very excited that it is December!  Lot's of service projects this month and he is looking forward to that! He is headed to the hospital today so they can (hopefully) remove some warts that have grown on his hands while there.  He has tried about everything to get them gone... He first showed them to me on MOTHERS DAY so, I think it's time they get taken care of! He is happy!  And that makes ME happy.

Hello!

This week was just dandy!! We found a lot more investigators this week! Especially since we only had 2 last week... but 11 is a much better number. We have a lot of new people, but not a lot that want to progress. One of our investigators is Ana, whose real name is Gabriella. (I only sing high school musical sometimes in her house under my breath!) But she is fantastic! She is a reference from Mama Luz, who owns our house we live in. Mama Luz is not a member, but helps teach our lessons! Ana is very interested in all of what we have to say, and really wants to be baptized!  We have 3 Teenagers who I feel are going to be baptized! One is a brother of an Inactive member, and he loves church on Sunday! Edu! Funny little 11 year old kid! The other two are brothers, Marcos and Shandu! Shandu really wants to be baptized, and Marcos only half listens, but with time, he will be great!  We may find 11 people in a week, but a lot of them don't stick with us. They h...

Que Pasa?

Hola Amigos! Como van todo? So this week was just dandy! I have been working hard, and learning a lot! For P-Day last week, we went to a park down in Metro! It was fun, we cooked hamburgers, played some Futbol, some frisbee, talked, and just had a good time! We have new people from this last transfer, and the new gringos! Its funny how Amazing they think I am, and then they realize I only have 6 weeks on them! haha! They are also from the Mexico MTC! They are fun, but I still like my group! Anyway! We had a baptism this week! Gabriela Diego! She is so wonderful, and it was a special day! Then yesterday, she was only 20 min. late to go to her confirmation! haha! That was kind of funny! But it all worked out! We were able to see her transformation, and her desire to rely on Christ. I went on a Work Transfer, or exchanges with Elder Seymour. He is one of the new Americans from Indiana! This meant we had to teach with my little experience, and his less experience! It was p...
