Perú again


Hey howdy hey!

So we had another baptism this Saturday! Yaquibel Santos Villanueva! (Her middle name is too hard to remember....) She gave the most wonderful testimony yesterday, but everyone was talking about my companion and I because she said " And I am so grateful for the two elders that baptized me, Elder Carrasco, and Elder Ball, who I don't know where they are, but thanks!" It like put us on the spot, and everyone started talking! It was just funny!

I hear so much music in this area! I am getting fluent with my reggaeton, Baladas and criolla, and of course Huayno!
Reggaetonis like rap, then baladas, Ballads, and then Huayno is just shouting peruvian with the same 4 instruments... I don't recommend it one bit! But EVERYONE listens to it, if they like it or not! It plays in the bus, the mototaxi, and sometimes just in the middle of nowhere a house starts playing it as loud as they can!  But I also hear a lot of English hits! I hear a little Taylor Swift, ABBA, Aerosmith, Bonnie Tyler, Bruno Mars! Ha! They have some of the songs memorized in English, they just have no clue what they are saying!

Some Elders from the ward were changed, Elders Mcwhorter, Martinez, and Ramos... We now have Cloward, Lunt and Asturizaga! Asturizaga is brand new from Bolivia! 

We keep finding new people, and still have to take a bus from one investigator to the other! We haven't been using as much water, since we are going to go poor if we use too much! 

We are going to the temple this week! I will be sure to take pictures! And I am going to buy the mini spanish Quad so I don't have to haul around the bible anymore! That bible kills me! I take it out some days, and just hope we don't have to use it!

We are working with a family, who we are still working on their testimony, and they will be all set to go! It is pure girls, and gets crazy! But we are working with Tania, Sophia, Alexandra, Elise, and Daniella! 16, 12, 12, 50, and 9! They are super fun, and their mom is a member! So that helps a lot, and we are doing well with them so far! They also have a lot of References for us, so Bonus!!

Anyway! Everything all good here! I had cheesecake the other day! Strawberry ice-cream last night! I am eating well, still just loosing a lot of weight! That is another fantastic thing!

Elder Ball is not a fan of the pig smell.  He told me that going to the State Fair won't be 
a problem from now on comparitivly... haha!

Hello!

This week was just dandy!! We found a lot more investigators this week! Especially since we only had 2 last week... but 11 is a much better number. We have a lot of new people, but not a lot that want to progress. One of our investigators is Ana, whose real name is Gabriella. (I only sing high school musical sometimes in her house under my breath!) But she is fantastic! She is a reference from Mama Luz, who owns our house we live in. Mama Luz is not a member, but helps teach our lessons! Ana is very interested in all of what we have to say, and really wants to be baptized!  We have 3 Teenagers who I feel are going to be baptized! One is a brother of an Inactive member, and he loves church on Sunday! Edu! Funny little 11 year old kid! The other two are brothers, Marcos and Shandu! Shandu really wants to be baptized, and Marcos only half listens, but with time, he will be great!  We may find 11 people in a week, but a lot of them don't stick with us. They h...

Que Pasa?

Hola Amigos! Como van todo? So this week was just dandy! I have been working hard, and learning a lot! For P-Day last week, we went to a park down in Metro! It was fun, we cooked hamburgers, played some Futbol, some frisbee, talked, and just had a good time! We have new people from this last transfer, and the new gringos! Its funny how Amazing they think I am, and then they realize I only have 6 weeks on them! haha! They are also from the Mexico MTC! They are fun, but I still like my group! Anyway! We had a baptism this week! Gabriela Diego! She is so wonderful, and it was a special day! Then yesterday, she was only 20 min. late to go to her confirmation! haha! That was kind of funny! But it all worked out! We were able to see her transformation, and her desire to rely on Christ. I went on a Work Transfer, or exchanges with Elder Seymour. We need more INCAS!

Hey howdy hey! So this week we started off with another District Monopoly, I didn't win this time... Sadness! But we had some Family home evenings, and it was all great! Then on Tuesday we cleaned up pigeon poop from one of our investigators Abi! We found some baby pigeons, along with one big dead one!  But the rest of the week was pretty normal! We spent one whole day knocking on doors, and found maybe 1 person, but we still haven't had an opportunity to teach! Haha! So a lot of people, but not too much success here!  I have been drinking Mate! It is the best! It’s an argentine thing, and I am thinking of buying myself a mate! Its super good like a bitter tea, but you can add sugar! We go and drink it with Junior before we have to sleep! It’s a fun way to sit and talk!  We had 12 investigators in the church this week!
