Subimos a bajar, o bajamos a subir? ( We climb down, or down to climb?)

Buenos Días!

So, I know I have not been writing a whole bunch, but it is because there is not a whole bunch to write! Like I said in my Introduction line, we are always climbing up the mountain to go down the other side for an appointment, or we are already high up, and we need to go down to go up! Its Crazy!

But this week everyone we have been teaching kind of left! We don't have any baptisms lined up for this month now, and everyone is mega busy every Sunday! So we are looking for and teaching as many as we can, but just hoping everything will work out!

For Christmas here in Peru, everyone is saving their money, and they are going to go all out for Christmas/Christmas Eve. They shoot off fireworks like crazy, and everyone wants to give us food! Everyone is preparing with lights, Panettone (a Peruvian cake filled with raisins and candied fruits) and Dulces (sweets) and everything!

But, anyway! I don't know if I am going to stay in this area or jump on over to another this Tuesday with transfers, but it will be fun to figure out!! This ward has a lot of things to work on… I don't know if I will be there or not! It might turn into a Branch...

We don't do a lot for P-Days, It ends up being eating somewhere, and playing Futbol or visiting other families! This last P-Day all we did was watch Once I was a Beehive with our District of 6 Missionaries... That was all we did! We ate, watched the movie, then got ready to leave! The time goes by like crazy!

Well, we are just contacting and visiting all of the houses in this area! Lots to do!

Talk to you later!

The Peruvian Census

This week was fantastic!  We have been working really hard with all of our Fechas! (People with a baptism Date) We have Shandu and Shande, who are really ready! We have been teaching them as much as we can and today they are going to have their interviews! Shandu is only 12, but has the most amazing little spirit! And Shande is 14, and would rather play futbol, but has now learned the importance of the gospel! The two brothers are excited! We are having a problem teaching their sister, Sasha. She is just having a hard, teenage life! Haha! But is 16, and we are trying for the 11th of November to have her baptized! And you can't forget about Edu! I haven't NOT received a hug every time I see him! He is so awesome, and his parents, Rosa and Raúl, were able to go to church yesterday!  The reason that Rosa and Raúl went is because we had church at 6 PM. That is because we had El Censo de Peru! For the Census, everyone had to stay in their house fro...

Que Pasa?

Hola Amigos! Como van todo? So this week was just dandy! I have been working hard, and learning a lot! For P-Day last week, we went to a park down in Metro! It was fun, we cooked hamburgers, played some Futbol, some frisbee, talked, and just had a good time! We have new people from this last transfer, and the new gringos! Its funny how Amazing they think I am, and then they realize I only have 6 weeks on them! haha! They are also from the Mexico MTC! They are fun, but I still like my group! Anyway! We had a baptism this week! Gabriela Diego! She is so wonderful, and it was a special day! Then yesterday, she was only 20 min. late to go to her confirmation! haha! That was kind of funny! But it all worked out! We were able to see her transformation, and her desire to rely on Christ. I went on a Work Transfer, or exchanges with Elder Seymour. He is one of the new Americans from Indiana! This meant we had to teach with my little experience, and his less experience! It was p...

Hello!

This week was just dandy!! We found a lot more investigators this week! Especially since we only had 2 last week... but 11 is a much better number. We have a lot of new people, but not a lot that want to progress. One of our investigators is Ana, whose real name is Gabriella. (I only sing high school musical sometimes in her house under my breath!) But she is fantastic! She is a reference from Mama Luz, who owns our house we live in. Mama Luz is not a member, but helps teach our lessons! Ana is very interested in all of what we have to say, and really wants to be baptized!  We have 3 Teenagers who I feel are going to be baptized! One is a brother of an Inactive member, and he loves church on Sunday! Edu! Funny little 11 year old kid! The other two are brothers, Marcos and Shandu! Shandu really wants to be baptized, and Marcos only half listens, but with time, he will be great!  We may find 11 people in a week, but a lot of them don't stick with us. They h...
