Casablanca again!

Another week here in Casablanca! We have been working hard, but slowly our investigators slipped out of our hands this week!

We had one baptism this last Saturday - Johnathan Castro! He is super funny! Super weird! He almost didn't get baptized because he didn't like that the baptismal clothing was too big! He is great!

We had a lot of lunches fall through this week and ate chicken 4 times! Haha! But I continue to lose weight! That would be because of the crazy marathon we do every day starting up high, going down my area, and returning almost every day! It is super crazy workout!

My area is normal for San Juan de Lurigancho! Hills, dogs and dust! Nothing too strange!! But at least I have water this time! It’s all really really normal now, and I don't know how I am going to react when I get home! I am going to feel RICH!!

Everything is cool! Our ward is trying to get together more, and there are 0 activities! So we are working on doing that! We need to help the ward out because there are like 8 converts out of 40 that are still attending from this last year. All of the converts go inactive after 3 months!! So we have to help them find friends, and keep the ward busy!  The problem is we can't even meet with some of the recent converts! They have no time, not even on Sunday!

Well, this week I am going to complete a year in the mission! It has passed by SSSOOO fast! I can't believe it! I am super happy and can't wait to see what we do this month! And of course the next 11 months!

Anyway! Thank you so much! Talk to you next week!

My First Llama!!!

Wow! This week was definitely Peruvian! I saw my first llama! It was a stylish llama might I add! It was fun! We saw him during our Zone P day, which was a blast! We went to the stake center and played some Fútbol! Yea... I can´t play soccer... Haha! But I´m going to learn. I have to, since even the kids here are crazy good! After playing soccer, we played some Werewolf, which is Mafia, but of course in Spanish. During games, Latinos tend to be really really energetic! I am having a great time! I am totally adjusted! Just, not the language... But you know, little details! It´s amazing to be able to help teach in the lessons, now that I know how to do more than say just my testimony! I do really well at understanding what people are saying...The only problem is when people talk to me! Then I understand nothing! And even less when people ask me how my Spanish is, because I never know if they are saying:    Do you know Spanish good? Your Spanish is really good...

Sky Blue

Hey! We had another Baptism!!! Celeste Lopez! One of the quickest baptisms I have seen! We found her I believe 2 weeks ago and is the best! She is the daughter of a less active member! She had already read up until Alma, and knew all of the Plan of Salvation! So we taught her the commandments, she attended church, and was baptized this Saturday!! And it is a little bit of a miracle, because they are finishing Vacations, and now they have 0 time to talk to us! They are completely busy! So it was basically her time for the lessons, and to get baptized!  Before the baptism at 7, (8:30 Peruvian Time). At 4 we ended up at a service project with the Elders quorum! We destroyed a rock wall behind a house and had to carry the rocks/Dirt in buckets. Then we all took turns with a sledge hammer at a big rock in the middle that the Jackhammer couldn't touch. But we left to try and teach someone, and then right to our baptism! But it was great! Last P day, we just ate at a Mexican Peru...

Subimos a bajar, o bajamos a subir? ( We climb down, or down to climb?)

Buenos Días!  So, I know I have not been writing a whole bunch, but it is because there is not a whole bunch to write! Like I said in my Introduction line, we are always climbing up the mountain to go down the other side for an appointment, or we are already high up, and we need to go down to go up! Its Crazy!  But this week everyone we have been teaching kind of left! We don't have any baptisms lined up for this month now, and everyone is mega busy every Sunday! So we are looking for and teaching as many as we can, but just hoping everything will work out! For Christmas here in Peru, everyone is saving their money, and they are going to go all out for Christmas/Christmas Eve. They shoot off fireworks like crazy, and everyone wants to give us food! Everyone is preparing with lights, Panettone (a Peruvian cake filled with raisins and candied fruits) and Dulces (sweets) and everything!  But, anyway! I don't know if I am going to stay in this area or ju...
